David Gardners

David Gardner’s Jewelers, Aggieland’s home for custom design jewelry and fine watches, asked us for a series of short web films to show off their new building. Joel Oelze wrote and directed three vignettes, The Sketch, Through the Years and Her Hands, each a small glimpse of the moments in life that jewelry marks. There is no voiceover; the pieces and the people who wear them tell the story. We shot on 16mm film for warmth and nostalgia and on digital for the sharpness the jewelry deserves, following each piece from the first drawing to the work at the bench.
