BEHIND THE SCENES

To capture the spirit of Texas A&M University at Galveston, we leaned into an elevated but honest visual approach. The commercial was shot on the Arri Alexa Mini, paired with a mix of Zeiss CP3 lenses and older, faster CP2 glass. Both sets were paired with a Pro-Mist filter to gently bloom highlights and soften the coastal light, giving the film a textured, cinematic warmth without losing clarity. For underwater sequences, we housed a Sony FX3 in underwater enclosures to bring viewers directly into the marine environment, capturing movement and immersion in a way that felt immediate and real. Visually, we pursued an enhanced naturalism look. That meant minimal lighting in most scenes, allowing available light and real environments to shape the image. Rather than building artificial setups, we focused on intentional framing, composition, and timing to create images that feel authentic, grounded, and true to the campus experience.
