In late spring 2025, Texas FilmWorks was asked by Texas A&M University’s Marketing and Communications team to produce their broadcast PSA, “Together, We Stand as a Force for Good.” The commercial was scheduled to debut September 13, 2025, to a national audience during the Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame football game on NBC. The spot was built on A&M’s new brand platform, A Force for Good. The project was an incredible opportunity wrapped in a big challenge: how do you showcase the magnitude and momentum of Texas A&M in a story told in 60 seconds or less? Working collaboratively with the A&M team, we refined scripts and concepts until we landed on a simple but powerful framework: preparing to do the work, doing the work, and accomplishing the work. The spot highlights students, faculty, and former students making an impact across Texas, around the world, and even in outer space! Executive producers Ethan Braden and Michelle Blakley, along with client producers Lindsay Gasek, Alex Giles, and Bekah Pepper, were instrumental in making the project possible. Their persistence and connections opened doors that brought this vision to life. Building on the success of the 2024 PSA, “STAND,” we knew we wanted high-impact “easter egg” moments. The inclusion of Dude Perfect and Beaver “Arch” Aplin became instant highlights. We filmed with Dude Perfect at their Houston tour stop, and met Arch Aplin at his New Braunfels store just weeks before the final deadline. Filming in the Texas A&M Virtual Production Institute in Fort Worth, TX meant we were able to open the piece in outer space, talk about magnitude and momentum! The Texas FilmWorks crew ensured the visual identity and style were consistent throughout. Andrew Kilzer directed the commercial, Joel Oelze and Matt Taylor served as co-DPs, Stewart Wade came on as creative director, and editors Lindsay Caudle and Kelsey Beasley shaped the final cut. Line producer Erin Rees pulled together a top tier Texas based crew and made sure every detail was covered. None of this project would have been possible without our outstanding department heads and crew. At Texas FilmWorks, our goals are simple: deliver excellent work, honor our clients and team, approach every project with gratitude, and have fun along the way. When we delivered the final cut to the client and NBC, our crew celebrated a job well done. Because when the dust settles after months of collaboration on a national campaign, it’s the trust of our clients that allows us to give our all. The challenge was big—but the payoff was even bigger.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Over nearly ten days of production, our crew size and technical setup shifted dramatically depending on each location’s needs. Our primary package featured the ARRI Alexa Mini LF paired with Cooke Panchro lenses, but we leaned on smaller builds like the Sony FX6 or FX3 with Cooke SP3s for specialized moments—such as the handful of mounted shots woven throughout the spot. Some of the most complex challenges came with the virtual production environment used for the space sequence, as well as highly technical indoor setups like the robotics scenes. Thanks to thorough pre-production, a strong executive team, and a crew of quick-thinking problem solvers, we were able to execute a solid plan while adapting in real time.
